Cast-Nylon CN

Cast-Nylon improves the properties of nylon by polymerizing and forming its main base ingredient of nylon monomer in a mold to provide superior features like less residual strain and excellent dimensional stability, not available in products made through injection molding or extrusion molding (NB, UD, CL, MD and SR grades).

As a flagship engineering plastic offering characteristics such as superior mechanical strength, heat resistance and creep performance, Cast-Nylon is used in a wide range of applications.

Characterestics

  • 1. Excellent mechanical strength.

Caution

  • If using after an extended period of time, please consider the impact of water absorption.
  • Surface color of Cast-Nylon may change after water absorption treatment.
  • Don't use CN-CDH/CN-CDM as electronic parts.
  • When using CN-CDH/CN-CDM for antistatic applications, a preliminary test with a sample is recommended.

CN-NB (Blue)
CN-UD (Ivory)

By improving mechanical strength, compared to Nylon6, and reducing physical degradation under high temperature, Cast-Nylon can be used under heavy loads as machinery parts where only metal is used.
Compliant with the RoHS Directive and Food Sanitation Act No370 in Japan.

Caution

  • In order to comply with Food Sanitation Act No.370 in Japan, Cast-Nylon should be boiled for at least 1.5 hours in hot water at 100°C before use.

Sliding Grade

CN-CL (Green)

By our own patented production method, CN-CL has outstandingly high abrasion resistance while maintaining the excellent properties of Cast-Nylon. Also, it has lubrication performance which withstands prolonged operating time.
Compliant with the RoHS Directive and Food Sanitation Act No370 in Japan.

Caution

  • In order to comply with Food Sanitation Act No.370 in Japan, Cast-Nylon should be boiled for at least 1.5 hours in hot water at 100°C before use.
  • Please do not use CN-CL for applications related to oily and fatty foods.

CN-MD has enhanced sliding property base on excellent properties of Cast-Nylon by evenly blending molybdenum disulfide.

High Conductivity Grade

CN-CDH (Black)

CN-CDH has good electroconductivity and antistatic performance with a volume resistivity of 103-105Ω·m. The composition of CN-CDH includes a carbon series filler, To ensure a stable resistance value, there is no change caused by wear or aging. Excellent for use in precision instruments, manufacturing jigs with electronic components and peripheral parts that are subjected to static electricity and dust.
Compliant with the RoHS Directive and Food Sanitation Act No370. in Japan.

  • Don't use CN-CDH as electronic parts.
  • When using CN-CDH for antistatic applications, a preliminary test with a sample is recommended.
  • CN-CDH may split depending on the machining method or conditions, so please choose appropriate machining conditions.
  • In order to comply with Food Sanitation Act No.370 in Japan, Cast-Nylon should be boiled for at least 1.5 hours in hot water at 100°C before use.

Antistatic Heat Registant Grade

CN-CDM(Black)

Due to our proprietary formulation, CN-CDM has both antistatic performance (volume resistivity 104-108Ω·m) and excellent thermal stability.

  • When using CN-CDH for antistatic applications, a preliminary test with a sample is recommended.

High Rigidity, Heat Registant Grade

CN-HM (Brown)

Due to our proprietary formulation, the rigidity of CN-HM is higher than that of Standard Grade.
And CN-HM has excellent dimensional stability and thermal stability. CN-HM can be used under higher temperature environment compared to Standard Grade.

CN-UDE (Ivory)

CN-NBE/UDE has physical properties closer to CN-NB/UD while mechanical strength is enhanced than standard nylon 6 extrusion products. It is economical and best to be used as machinery parts such as small sized gears, roller bearings, rollers, etc.

Cast-Nylon Worm Wheel

Worm Wheel is hybrid material of Cast-Nylon and iron core.
Iron core is fused to Cast-Nylon.
By cutting teeth, it can be used as a gear material under the condition of 100°C or less.
