During the current consolidated fiscal year, the global economy maintatined a recovery trend due to progress in socioeconomic activities toward normalization from the Covid-19 disaster, although, the pace of recovery slowed down due to tight monetary policy to control inflation, geopolitical risks, and the sluggish Chinese and European economies.

Looking ahead, the economy is expected to pick up as inflation eases and interest rate cuts begin in Europe and the United States. However, the outlook is uncertain and fraught with uncertainty as further geopolitical risk tensions and the continued sluggishness in the Chinese economy are expected to have a negative impact.

In this situation, we have announced the “Mid-Term Business Plan 2024 (FY2024-FY2026) ” to establish a strong corporate structure that is resilient to change and to realize our “Target Position” for FY2030. We have set KPIs for profitability, capital efficiency, capital investment, shareholder returns, and ESG for this period as a period of accelerated growth, and we will work to achieve these goals.

In addition, based on our Corporate Philosophy "To give attentive consideration to both humanity and nature," we will promote our company that contributes to the realization of a sustainable society through our business activities, and aim for management that earns the trust of all our stakeholders.
