Backlash of Timing belt and Pulley
What is "Backlash"?
Backlash refers to the gap between the teeth of the timing belt and those of the timing pulley, which serves to facilitate smooth engagement between the belt and pulley teeth.

What is the benefit of smaller backlash?
The smaller the backlash amount, the better the positioning accuracy. A tooth profile in which the amount of backlash is reduced to the utmost limit is called a backlashless pulley. The following data is a comparison of our backlashless pulleys and standard pulleys.

【Evaluation conditions】
Pulley tooth profile S3M: Number of pulley teeth 24 teeth: DR rotation speed 1.5 rpm: DN No load: Belt tension 46.5 N: Rotation angle 66°.
