Mitsuboshi Belting Ltd. (Head Office: Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture; President: Hiroshi Ikeda) announces its endorsement of the principles of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD^※1). In addition to participating in the TNFD Forum, we have been formally registered as a TNFD Adopter^※2.

TNFD is an international framework for companies to assess and disclose risks and opportunities related to natural capital and biodiversity. It promotes disclosure based on four pillars: “Governance”, “Strategy”, “Risk and Impact Management”, and “Metrics and Targets”. A TNFD Adopter is a company that has declared its commitment to disclose information in line with TNFD recommendations and is registered on the TNFD official website.

We have actively addressed social challenges such as climate change, human rights, and resource circulation. We recognize that biodiversity loss is also a critical issue for achieving a sustainable society. Through our registration as a TNFD Adopter, we will further accelerate our efforts toward realizing a “nature positive” society that aims for coexistence with nature.

Based on our basic philosophy of "To give attentive consideration to both humanity and nature", we will promote disclosures based on the TNFD recommendations and contribute to the conservation of natural capital and the building of a sustainable society.

※1　Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures: An international organization aiming to establish a framework for private companies and financial institutions to appropriately assess and disclose risks and opportunities related to natural capital and biodiversity.
