SDG Initiatives
Basic Approach
The Mitsuboshi Belting Group supports the SDGs, the common global goals established by the United Nations. Under its corporate philosophy, “To give attentive consideration to both humanity and nature,” the Group seeks to coexist with its stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, employees, and local communities, by pursuing advanced technological capabilities that deliver innovative ideas and products with high functionality, high precision, and high quality. Through its continued contributions to people and society, the Group aims to help create a comfortable and prosperous future.
Management System
The SDGs Promotion Committee serves as an implementing body under the Sustainability Council. It determines policies, targets, and measures for the Group’s SDG initiatives and monitors and evaluates their implementation. The Committee’s activities are reported to the Board of Directors through the Sustainability Council. Appointing an executive officer as chair of the Committee also enables close coordination with management and prompt action.
ESG Issues and the SDGs
The Group began its SDG initiatives with the aim of contributing to the achievement of the six goals shown below. As the range of ESG issues considered important to its business has expanded, including climate action, biodiversity conservation, the transition to a circular economy, and the promotion of DEI, the Group’s initiatives now contribute to a broader range of goals.
Contribution to Society
By providing safe and reliable products based on advanced technologies and working with business partners to help deliver products needed by society, the Group contributes to manufacturing worldwide.

Cooperation and Collaboration with Local Communities
The Group values broad communication with society. While conducting its business activities, it contributes to society by cooperating and collaborating with local communities and seeking to coexist with them.

Contribution to the Global Environment
By manufacturing products with lower environmental impacts and promoting environmental conservation throughout the Group, the Group aims to remain mindful of coexistence with the global environment in all its activities.

Respect for Human Rights
