Mitsuboshi Belting Ltd. (Head Office: Nagata-ku, Kobe; President: Hiroshi Ikeda) endorses the philosophy of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and has joined the TNFD Forum, which is organization that supports the TNFD.

TNFD is an international initiative established in June 2021 by the United Nations Environment Programme and Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and the British environmental NGO Global Canopy in order to transition to Nature Positive*1. It encourages financial institutions and private companies to assess risks and opportunities related to natural capital and biodiversity, and to disclose information in four main areas: governance, strategy, risk and impact management, and indicators and targets.

Mitsuboshi Belting Ltd. has been working to solve various social issues such as climate change and human rights in order to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, and we recognize that biodiversity loss is one of the most important issues as climate change for society as a whole. In October 2023, we joined the Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) Forum with the aim of further accelerating our activities related to Conservation of Biological Diversity.

We will continue to focus our efforts on Conservation of Biological Diversity through our participation in the TNFD Forum, in line with our corporate philosophy of "To give attentive consideration to both humanity and nature."

※1 “Nature Positive” is a term that means halting the loss of natural ecosystems and restoring them
